VCUarts

So I actually was accepted to VCU's program when I was applying to college and was seriously considering going there.  Like Kyle says, probably the most interesting thing about it is that it's a three year intensive program, summers included, and double major required.  I love how they call it "Cinema".  It seems a lot more focused than our program - it explicitly says students focus on production of narratives.  Sooo cool that they still regularly shoot on film.  It will be interesting to see how receptive they are to our experimental selections, especially since some of the faculty have such a firm background in experimental.  I see VCUarts has a Cinema (BA) and Photography and Film (BFA).  I wonder if we'll get a mix of students from both departments?

Also - should our pitch change because it seems their opportunities are a little more regimented?  With the summer production intensive, it seems like everyone past sophomore year will have helped make at least one film, but I'm not sure how much filmmaking they are doing outside of class or for other classes in the curriculum.
